Under the Apple tree

It was in the hight of summer when Yen and Tara found themselves in a garden in rural France. In the lee of a beautiful apple tree a simple and sweet chord progression unfolded, reflecting this carefree and lighthearted summer’s day.

In the serene calmth of nature, the seed for this song was planted. Apple Tree is a composition dedicated to the natural world with which we are inextricably connected.

Yen and Tara invited their good friend and former guitar teacher, Kees Kingsize to help them write the song and play his iconic Ukulele part. With his lifetime of experience in playing different instruments and a variety of styles, Kees was able to bring a certain character and depth into the song. Thanks to this collaboration the song shines as bright as the day on which it was written.
